Hair girl. Reality TV enthusiast. Perfectionist Virgo.

Hi, I’m Mariah, the artist behind Braid Free or Dye.

Hair has pretty much always been part of my life. My mom went to hair school, I grew up around the salon, and by 19, I was in hair school myself. After moving to Virginia in 2016, I fell into the bridal world and realized pretty quickly that this was where I belonged.

I went out on my own in 2020, and somewhere between building a business, doing a lot of wedding hair, and probably watching way too much reality TV, Braid Free or Dye became what it is today.

I love good fashion, good conversation, women who know who they are, and brides who want to look incredible without taking the whole thing too seriously. I’ll obsess over the tiny details of your hair so you don’t have to, keep the morning calm, and by the end of it, probably feel a little less like your hairstylist and a little more like one of the girls.
